What is the difference between Form-106 and Form-109?

Form HELFO E 106 primarily provides for the extension of medical treatment to other countries belonging to the EOG. It is worth remembering that when you work in Norway, you are only entitled to medical care in this country. Also, if you are the sole breadwinner and your family is abroad, Form E 109 provides your partner with health insurance. Otherwise, they cannot use foreign health services.

Acquisition of forms E-106 and E-109 gives you the right to use medical treatment in EEA countries. With this, you get the following benefits:

you can plan treatment abroad
you can receive treatment abroad, e.g. if you get the flu during your stay with your family
your family living in a foreign country can benefit from free health services
confirmation of insurance accepted in all EEA countries
